What to Expect During Hajj 2025 – A Step-by-Step Overview
Hajj 2025 is expected to draw over two million Muslims from across the globe. The pilgrimage spans five days but includes a variety of significant rituals that trace back to Prophet Ibrahim’s time. Understanding the process can help pilgrims prepare mentally and physically.
The journey begins with the donning of the HAJJ 2025, a simple white garment symbolizing purity and equality. From there, pilgrims perform the Tawaf, which is seven circuits around the Kaaba, followed by the Sa’i, walking between Safa and Marwah hills.
On the 8th of Dhul Hijjah, pilgrims travel to Mina, where they stay overnight. The next day, they journey to Arafat, where the highlight of Hajj—the Wuquf or standing at Arafat—takes place. This day is considered the pinnacle of the pilgrimage and involves intense supplication.
After sunset, pilgrims move to Muzdalifah, where they spend the night under the stars, collecting pebbles for the next ritual. On the 10th, they perform the Ramy al-Jamarat, symbolically stoning the devil, followed by Qurbani (animal sacrifice) and the Tawaf al-Ifadah.
The following days are spent back in Mina, continuing the stoning ritual and reflecting on one's journey. Pilgrims then return to Makkah for a final Tawaf al-Wada, bidding farewell to the sacred city.
Being familiar with this sequence of events makes it easier to stay organized and spiritually focused during Hajj 2025. Preparation, patience, and prayer are key to a successful pilgrimage.
